Former UND president Tom Clifford is in Altru Hospital after he slipped and fell at his lake property, his stepson, Tom K. Kenville, said Thursday.
Clifford apparently hurt his back, Kenville said, but it's not a serious injury. He said he expects Clifford to be out any day.
Clifford headed the university from 1971 to 1992. He was 86 as of December.
