Circle of Friends sets dog festival

The Circle of Friends Humane Society in Grand Forks will hold the second annual All 4 Fun Dog Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 25.

The festival includes demonstrations, doggy games, contests, Second Chance Alumni Reunion, a silent auction, food and other games for animals and pet owners.

Demonstrations from local organizations include GF Kennel Club, Grand Forks Police Department working dogs and the Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department bloodhound.

Doggy games include doggy dash, obedience baseball, hide and seek, sing off, ball dunk and doggy bowling, to name a few.

There also will be contests for for best costume, owner look-alike, best trick, cutest, most disobedient, and best tail-wagger. Contests will be judged by Herald columnist Ryan Bakken and WDAZ-TV anchor Terry Dullum.

The Manvel Fire Department will be grilling food for the event, with proceeds going to the department.

All events are free, open to the public and will be held at the Circle of Friends Dog Park at 4375 N. Washington St. Dogs must be leashed except when participating in games.
