The city of Grand Forks will begin Christmas tree collection on Monday and continue to collect trees through Friday. Trees are to be left on the berm with stands, plastic bags and other items removed from them and will be recycled and used to cover the city landfill.
Trees can also be discarded by residents at three drop-off sites around town. Disposal locations include the Public Works Facility at 724 N. 47th St., the 47th Ave. S. pump station and by Williamson Field at Fifth Avenue South and DeMers Ave.
