PORTLAND, Ore. -- Police in Oregon say they have found the body of a 3-year-old boy in the Willamette River and have rescued a 7-year-old girl from the river in Portland.
The girl was taken to a hospital.
The case is being investigated by Portland Police homicide detectives.
Authorities said officers were sent to the river early Saturday after reports of screams in the area.
Police say officers continued searching both sides of the river.
