KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Larry Johnson rushed for 138 yards on 33 carries in Kansas City's victory over Jacksonville, giving him an NFL-record 416 carries this season.

His 1,789 yards smashed the team record of 1,750 yards the durable 230-pounder set last year in only nine starts. Atlanta's Jamal Anderson had the record for attempts with 410 in 1998.

After losses Sunday by Cincinnati, Tennessee and Denver, the Chiefs earned a spot in the playoffs.
