You've probably heard about the BOTOX® walk-in clinics popping up in states like California, Florida and Maryland. The wrinkle treatment so quick it can be done on a patient's lunch break. Well, BOTOX® Cosmetic is no stranger to Catalyst Medical Center of Fargo, North Dakota. The center, which also has an outreach clinic in Aurora Medical Park, is home to Drs. Susan Mathison and Lesley Soine. Dr. Mathison is among the top 10 percent of injectors in the U.S., giving the center a platinum status. Dr. Mathison is also one of approximately 225 National Educational Faculty members chosen by Allergan based on specialty, experience and commitment to the Aesthetic marketplace and peer group recognition. As a National Faculty Member, she is asked to participate in Key Opinion Leader Meetings and Advisory Board panels. Additionally, she provides comprehensive training on the use of Allergan products, such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and Juvéderm™.
Dr. Soine, who travels to the Aurora Medical Park outreach location, was trained by Dr. Mathison on techniques for administering injectables. She, herself, has now become a master injector, seeing numerous patients daily for injectables.
"People often have the misconception that if injected with BOTOX® Cosmetic they will not be able to smile, frown or look surprised," said Dr. Soine. "This is not the case when administered by a trained physician who understands what the patient's desired results. We take the time to find that out. Allergan has done a phenomenal job of answering the many misconceptions with their Keep the Wisdom. Lose the Lines™ campaign."
The campaign encourages people to first get the facts, then make a wise decision on whether or not an aesthetic injectable is right for them. Now that's what wisdom is about-knowledge. Injections, which may cause some discomfort and minor bruising or swelling, often only take 15 minutes to perform. Make-up can be applied afterward and the patient sent on their way with natural-looking results. That is what people want, natural-looking results.
Although BOTOX® Cosmetic and fillers like Juvéderm™ are not permanent, they typically last for a number of months. Maintenance visits are required to prevent and/or treat wrinkles. With products like these, patients are free to express themselves without the lines that make them look angry (the 11's between the eyes) or older (the deep folds around the nose and mouth).
