Norm Coleman, the Republican incumbent U.S. senator in a political dogfight for re-election, will be in East Grand Forks this afternoon on his "Hope Express" campaign tour that's swinging through northwest Minnesota today.
Coleman is scheduled to be at the Blue Moose Bar & Grill, 507 Second St. N.W. in East Grand Forks at 1 p.m.
He's coming to East Grand Forks by way of Fergus Falls and Moorhead, where he spoke this morning.
Later today, the senator is scheduled to appear at Bemidji's Minnesota Nice Cafe downtown at 4:30 p.m., followed by a 6:30 p.m. appearance in Walker, Minn., at Chase on the Lake.
Coleman's opponents are Democrat Al Franken and Indedendence Party candidate Dean Barkley.
