The Grand Forks Police Department is investigating elusive burglars after multiple reported break-ins over several months.

Officers responded Wednesday to three reported burglaries between the 1500 block of Hammerling Drive and the 1400 block of 14th Avenue South, according to a news release. Police said the break-ins are similar to ones previously reported: They happen in the evening hours, someone forces his way into the home and steals jewelry and other small items.

Reports of burglaries date back to September, with police offering a reward of $500 in early December for information leading to an arrest.

The Police Department has sent out multiple warnings regarding the burglaries, advising residents to be on the lookout for suspicious behavior and to take precautions in safeguarding their property.

Anyone with information should call the Police Department at (701) 787-8000 or submit a tip on the department's Facebook page, www.grandforksgov.com/government/police or through the Tip411 app.
