Two of the three men accused of beating a man and cutting off his ponytail have been arrested in North Carolina.

Brothers Everett Wayne Woolery and Paul Keith Woolery were found in Cofield, N.C., this week, Cass County Sheriff's Office officials said.

An extradition hearing will be held today for the men.

The Woolerys and Donald Harrison Meeks face a felony count of conspiracy to commit terrorizing and conspiracy to commit assault, a misdemeanor in North Dakota.

The charges stem from an Aug. 22 incident at the Red River Valley Campground in West Fargo.

The victim, Joel Jay Schulz, was charged the day before with assaulting Meeks. Schulz told authorities he went back to the campground to warn a friend the trio were planning to hurt him when they attacked Schulz.

Schulz said the men jumped him, held him face down and kicked and hit him in the head before cutting off his ponytail.

All three men accused of the assault are seasonal workers from Wister, Okla.

Meeks has not yet been found.

The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead and the Herald are both Forum Communications Co. newspapers.
