A boy running into the street after a ball Sunday evening in Grand Forks was struck by a 1993 Honda Accord, but his injuries are unknown.
The car, driven by 22-year-old Kabrina Smith of Grand Forks, was traveling south on South 17th Street. Smith did not initially see the boy when he ran into the street, according to a news release from Grand Forks police.
Smith was unable to stop the car before it struck the boy, who was conscious and alert when officers arrived, police said.
An Altru ambulance took the boy to the hospital for treatment and evaluation but the "exact extent of his injuries are unknown," police said.
No one has not been cited and no other details were immediately available.
