Bonita "Bonnie" Klipfel Bonita "Bonnie" Klipfel, Bismarck, passed away peacefully, at the age of 55, on August 2, 2008, at her home. Bonita "Bonnie" Klipfel, daughter of Otto and Darlene (Zenker) Helfenstein, was born on June 3, 1953, in Ashley, ND.

Bonita "Bonnie" Klipfel, Bismarck, passed away peacefully, at the age of 55, on August 2, 2008, at her home.

Bonita "Bonnie" Klipfel, daughter of Otto and Darlene (Zenker) Helfenstein, was born on June 3, 1953, in Ashley, ND. She graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1971 and received her education degree at Minot State University. She taught in the Williston and Bismarck School Districts.

She married Bryan Klipfel on August 9, 1975, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ashley. Bonnie and her husband lived in Grand Forks, Rolla, Minot, Williston, and have resided in Bismarck, ND, since 1992.

Bonnie touched the lives of many with her contagious smile and positive outlook on life. She loved reading and inspired her students. Bonnie took pleasure in being outdoors and appreciated nature's beauty, especially her flowers. She loved bird watching and spending time on their farm in Ashley.

Blessed to have shared her life are her husband, Bryan of Bismarck, ND; her father and step-mother, Otto and Marlys Helfenstein of Bismarck, ND; her sisters, Twila (Brian) Ballard of Riverton, WY, Sheila (Dave) Nelson of Jamestown, ND, and Faye (Vaughn) Salzer of Ashley, ND; her brothers-in-law, James (Cheryl) Klipfel of Fargo, ND, Mark (Lisa) Klipfel of Bismarck, ND, and Charles Kraemer of Oakes, ND; her sisters-in-law, Janet (Al) Vossler of Palm Desert, CA, Tamara (Todd) Haas of Hamilton, MT, and Michelle (Don) Howard of Dublin, CA; 26 very special nieces and nephews; her step-sister, Letty (Bill) Fowell of Mesa, AZ; and her step-brother, Les (Teddy) Tjaden of Vacaville, CA.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; her grandparents; her sister-in-law, Joey Kraemer; and one nephew.

A celebration of life service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Bismarck, where she was an active member, on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Wes Aardahl officiating.

A time of sharing will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Eastgate Funeral Service in Bismarck.
