Body found hanging beneath railroad bridge in Wisconsin

NEW RICHMOND, Wis. -- The body of a 26-year-old man was found hanging Tuesday morning from beneath a railroad bridge over the Willow River in New Richmond, police said.

NEW RICHMOND, Wis. -- The body of a 26-year-old man was found hanging Tuesday morning from beneath a railroad bridge over the Willow River in New Richmond, police said.

The man was identified as Kyle Edward Mara of Roberts, according to a police news release. No foul play was suspected.

Personnel from the New Richmond Police Department, New Richmond Fire Department, New Richmond Area EMS, St. Croix County Sheriff's Department and St. Croix County Medical Examiner's Office responded to the railroad bridge just before 8 a.m.

Canadian National rail traffic through the city was held up for about an hour while authorities recovered the body and investigated the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the New Richmond police and the St. Croix County Medical Examiner's Office.
