Grand Forks Police have released the names of the motorcyclist and driver involved in an accident Tuesday night in downtown Grand Forks.
Jadie Beaudry, 21, Grand Forks, was treated and released from Altru Hospital after a BMW driven by Maynard Herting Jr., 48, East Grand Forks, backed out from a diagonal parking spot into the driving lane of North Third Street, where Beaudry was headed north on her Harley Davidson.
The incident happened just after 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of North Third Street. Herting Jr. was cited for improper backing, police said in a press release.
