Bicyclist hit by pickup in GF

Grand Forks Police say a 16-year-old girl riding a bicycle suffered minor injuries after being hit by a pickup this afternoon.

The girl was attempting to cross 36th Avenue South at South 10th Street when a westbound 2009 pickup hit her at 3:31 p.m. She suffered minor injuries and was taken to Altru Hospital by ambulance.

A nursing supervisor wouldn't comment on the girl's condition.

The male driver was uninjured, and no citations were issued. Police haven't released the names or residences of the driver or victim, and are asking anyone with information about the accident to call (701) 787-8000.
