MINNEWAUKAN, N.D. -- Almost 7,000 acres of Benson County land have been removed from the tax rolls this year.
They're no longer taxable because they have been purchased by the Spirit Lake Nation and been placed in trust. The latest notification of new trust land in October was a 485-acre plot.
