First Friday Art Walk, a series of open houses and meet-the-artist opportunities, will be this week in Bemidji. Here's a schedule.

Bemidji Community Art Center will have an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Showing in the Main Gallery will be "The Dolls," homeless women telling their stories through art, a special project by Sandra Haff and I Love a Parade. Also: "Color Studies," by Gege Holden. In Gallery X2: "Natural Motion," by artist and photographer Sean McCroy. In conjunction with "The Dolls," the Bemidji Community Art Center and Bemidji State University Social Work program host a workshop from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at BSU called "Visual Expression: Autobiography Through Doll Making."
