BEMIDJI -- A 27-year-old man was shot Tuesday in Shooks Township in Beltrami County. According to a news release from the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office:
The Sheriff's Office responded to a residence and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was alive, but unconscious. He was taken by Blackduck Ambulance to a landing site, from where North Memorial Air Care he took him to a Minneapolis hospital. The victim was identified as Matthew Albert, 27, Kelliher, Minn.
An investigation is ongoing and foul play has not been ruled out, officials said.
