A Belcourt, N.D., man found guilty on charges of sexual abuse was sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison, the U.S. Attorney's office said in a news release.
Kyle Decoteau, 26, was sentenced in Bismarck on a count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and two counts of abusive sexual contact. Thirty years was the mandatory minimum sentence, according to the office.
Decoteau must serve 15 years of supervised release after completing his prison time. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
Authorities said Decoteau had sexual contact with two girls from December 2006 through September 2007 on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation.
A federal jury found Decoteau guilty Jan. 21.
