Belcourt, N.D., man sentenced for possessing stolen guns

A Belcourt, N.D., man was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Minot to two years in federal prison for possessing stolen guns he sold to relatives.

A Belcourt, N.D., man was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Minot to two years in federal prison for possessing stolen guns he sold to relatives.

Terry J. Gourneau, 21, was also sentenced by U.S. District Judge Daniel L. Hovland to a three-year term of supervised probation following his release and was ordered to pay $3,214.99 in restitution.

Gourneau pleaded guilty on May 20 to the charge, which stemmed from a crime committed in September.
