A Belcourt, N.D., man pleaded guilty Thursday to fracturing one person's face and scarring another at a house party on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation.
Chet Brunelle, 26, faced to two counts of assault resulting in serious bodily injury in U.S. District Court in Bismarck.
According to a Justice Department news release, Brunelle was at a party when he became upset and punched one of his victims in the face, sending him to the hospital. A second victim arrived, and was also beaten in the face.
Each count is punishable by up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is set for May 21.
