University Splash Park was spraying in full force Friday afternoon.

With temps above 70 this week Grand Forks residents flocked to University Park trying to enjoy summer-like temperatures.

Open since Wednesday, the splash park is one of a few places to cool down until June 5, when area pools will open for the summer.

Elks Park Swimming Pool and Riverside Pool will be the only outdoor pools open in the Grand Forks area this summer. The East Grand Forks Swimming Pool will be closed this year for renovations.

Along with University Splash Park, there are also a spray park adjacent to Elks Park Swimming Pool and one outside Choice Health and Fitness.

All three spray parks are open for the 2015 season.
