Authorities on Wednesday released the name of the Hatton, N.D., man killed Tuesday in an accident at a processing plant in Hatton.

Gary Don Onerheim, 36, station manager at the SunPro plant, died at the scene from injuries when he got caught in sunflower seed cleaning equipment, said Traill County Sheriff Mike Crocker.

Crocker said it appeared Onerheim's clothing was caught in some machinery and pulled him into the equipment.

The SunPro plant processes confectionary sunflowers used in bird seed, pet foods and some human foods.

In addition to the Traill County Sheriff's Department, the Hatton Volunteer Fire Department and the West Traill Ambulance out of Mayville, N.D., responded to the call about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
