Altru Health System notified its tenant Aurora Medical Park Laboratory that the lab's lease would end April 30 on its facility in south Grand Forks.
Altru purchased three buildings at the Aurora Medical Park, becoming the landlord for several businesses using them.
Chief Financial Officer Dwight Thompson said Altru plans to move into parts of its new buildings as the tenants' leases expire. "We need the space, that's why we bought it."
Altru has no definite plans yet for the space, but it could begin moving some of its operations there in the next few months, he said. "We'd like to use the whole building."
Altru informed the lab of its plans earlier this month.
