UND students demonstrate robot
Eight UND mechanical and electrical engineering students have built a remote-operated robot capable of collecting more than 20 kilograms of lunar stimulant, or simulated moon dirt, in about three minutes.
Part of the NASA sponsored Lunabotics Mining Competition, the robot was designed by the team in the past year. The robot will be demonstrated at an event open to the public from 3 to 4 p.m. today in 106 Upson Hall I on the UND campus.
Auto dealers get training grant
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development's Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Program announced Wednesday a $41,303 grant to support a two-year training program for 32 employees of C & M Ford in Hallock and Roseau County Ford in Roseau. The two-year training program is in collaboration with Northland Community and Technical College.

Mosquito spray scheduled
Custom Airborne Spraying, Karlstad, Minn., has scheduled an aerial mosquito control application for 7 p.m. Friday over Grafton and Emerado, N.D.
A company news release said the mosquito control product will not harm people, pets or gardens, but people may want to remain indoors while the spraying takes place.
