License tabs: Motor vehicle owners are reminded to check their vehicle plate tabs for November or December renewal dates to ensure the tabs don't expire at the end of the year. The 2010 red-colored tabs should be replaced with blue-colored tabs for 2011. Vehicle owners with expired tabs may receive a ticket for $20 and a one-point deduction on their driver's license.
Vehicle registrations can be renewed at www.dot.nd.gov . Online registrations may take more than two weeks to receive.
Snowbird party: The 11th annual North Dakota Coachella Valley Association party-reunion will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Woodhaven Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
The party-reunion is for all "snowbirds" in the southern California area of Palm Springs, about 125 miles east of Los Angeles, as well as former North Dakota residents and their friends. About 250 North Dakota residents and former residents are expected.
