The lottery drawing to determine the 150 teams that will compete in the The Chamber/Cabela's 24th Annual Cats Incredible fishing tournament is set for 7:30 p.m. March 16 at the Eagles Club in East Grand Forks.
So far, 161 applicants are vying for 150 available slots. Once the teams have been drawn to fill the tournament, the remaining applications will be on a waiting list to compete.
The tournament is set for July 30-31 on the banks of the Red River. A community festival is also planned along with the tournament in LaFave Park, behind Cabela's.
Crookston leaders submit resignations
Two leaders of Crookston city government have submitted their resignations.

Dan Johanneck, executive director of the Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority for three years, is leaving to take a business office job with Mount St. Benedict. His last day will be March 31.
Scott Kleven, the parks and recreation director for almost 11 years, will retire this spring. Kleven, 60, is a former school teacher and coach.
Aaron Parrish, city administrator, said he anticipates both positions being filled. The Park Board and other city officials will meet in March to discuss hiring a replacement for Kleven.
May-Port-CG School to pay off bond early
The May-Port-CG School Board has voted to pay off a $785,000 bond early, saving the school district of annual payments of about $24,000.
The bond is for the Peter Boe Jr. Elementary gymnasium. The payment money will come from elementary school funds, a CD and the general fund. The early payment will produce the option of the school district reducing the mill levy.
