Several local districts have narrowed down their list of Republican candidates for the North Dakota Legislature after crowded district conventions in Grand Forks, Grafton and Cavalier.
More than 200 Grand Forks Republicans turned out Thursday night to elect delegates to the state convention in Bismarck next month, hear from statewide candidates and vote to endorse candidates for their district's three spots on the Legislature.
Even with an endorsement, candidates could still face a challenge from other Republican contenders during the June 12 primary that will decide the party's nominations.
Here are the Republican-endorsed candidates for the local districts up for re-election in 2012.
