Jackie Uthus: Pottery, clocks and more by Jackie Uthus of Grand Forks will be exhibited through Nov. 17 at the Dakota Harvest Bakery Gallery, Grand Forks. The pottery and polymer clay clocks include "Is It Nap Time," a Woven Crazy Clock and clocks that glow in the dark. The show will feature felted landscapes, wall hangings, weavings and more.

UND Music

Choir concert: The UND Fall Choir Concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at United Lutheran Church, Grand Forks. Concert Choir and Varsity Bards will be directed by Joshua Bronfman and Allegro Women's Choir will be directed by L. Grace St. Pierre. Admission: Students, $3; adults, $6; family of four, $12.

'Moby Dick': Northland Community and Technical College will present a comedic abbreviated version of Herman Melville's classic "Moby Dick" at 7 p.m. on Oct. 30 and 31 and Nov. 1 in the NCTC Theater in Thief River Falls. Cast: McKenzie Boyer, Jaylene Garthus, Andriana Hanson, Tiffany Hanson, Megan Hicks, Julie Holecek, Arrie McGregor, Sara Mills, Kristin Mutnansky, Tyson Panek, Amelia Schmitz, Skyah Westerman, Directors: Linda Samuelson, Vanessa Martell. Audience: Recommended for high school-age and up, for adult references. Reserved tickets: $8; available at Kezar Music.

Halloween

Haunted House: Reynolds, N.D., will host its third annual haunted house on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 and 2 in the old city hall building on Main Street. Hours will be 7 p.m. to midnight Oct. 31 and 6 to 10 p.m. on Nov. 1. On Nov. 2, Scaredy Cat Hour will be from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by the regular exhibit from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission: $7; refreshments for sale.

Children's party: The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars in East Grand Forks will sponsor a Children's Halloween Party from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 at the American Legion Club, East Grand Forks. The party also will be a benefit for the food pantry, so if you bring a can of food, you get free admission to the Haunted House.

Fall events

Pumpkin Patch: The Pumpkin Patch in Warren, Minn., is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. through Oct. 31 at the Godel Memorial Library. All proceeds go to the youth groups at Our Savior's Lutheran and Melo Lutheran churches. You can take pictures and plays games as you pick pumpkins. On Fridays at 4 p.m. and Saturdays at 1 p.m. there will be a free craft table. Saturdays and Sundays: Baked goods, hot beverages, barbecues for sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays only: Hayrides, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fall festival benefit: The eighth annual Fall Festival Benefit will begin at 5 p.m. Nov. 1 at the East Grand Forks Eagles Club as a benefit for Jane Loscheider. Schedule: Kids carnival and games, 5 to 7 p.m.; dance, 8 p.m. to midnight; sloppy joes for sale. Admission: Freewill donations. Info: (701) 780-1082.
