Summertime is also construction season, which means drivers in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks may find themselves in front of orange cones or detour signs in the next few months.

Grand Forks has many projects planned, including paving South Washington Street, repairing the Columbia Road overpass and adding a roundabout intersection at 24th Avenue South and South 34th Street.

The Washington Street work was scheduled to start Wednesday, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation.

East Grand Forks drivers will also see some road closures, including paving projects on 17th Street Northeast and Fifth Avenue Northeast.
