Altru Cancer Center, Grand Forks, is sponsoring "Pretty in Pink," an event centered on women and breast cancer awareness, from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 20 at Red River High School. Among the speakers will be Dr. Bonnie Omdahl, radiologist, who will talk about breast imaging.
A cancer survivor also will share her personal story. Members of Altru Cancer Center will be present to provide information and meet the public. Admission is free.
Pretty in Pink will feature pampering, education, entertainment and door prizes, a news release said. Area massage therapists and local cosmetologists will volunteer their time and provide free hand massages and even paint attendees' nails pink. Info: (701) 780-5400; altru.org/pink.
