The executive director of Grand Forks’ Alerus Center has been named one of the 2014 Women of Influence by Venues Today, a national industry publication, the city-owned facility said Monday.
Cheryl Swanson is one of five recipients of the award, which honors women who made a difference in the sports, music and convention industries.
She will receive the award in July at a conference in Portland, Ore.
The Alerus Center’s fiscal turnaround is among the reasons Swanson was nominated for the award, the center said.
