A 19-year-old Gully, Minn., man made his initial appearance in court Monday after he was arrested Saturday following a rollover accident that injured several people.
Ryan Hoeft was booked into the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston, Minn., Saturday under suspicion of driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, according to the jail intake log.
At about 2:45 a.m. Saturday, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a rollover accident involving one car several miles southeast of Fosston, Minn., according to a news release.
The release indicated several people, including children, were taken to Essentia Hospital in Fosston for non-life-threatening injuries.
It is unclear what took place leading up to and during the accident as the Polk County Sheriff’s Office did not process a request for the accident report before it closed Monday.

Hoeft is charged with five counts of criminal vehicular operation - two felonies and three gross misdemeanors - according to the Minnesota court records online database.
A person may be charged with criminal vehicular operation in Minnesota if they cause injury to a person while driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
If convicted, the maximum sentence is three years in prison if the driver caused substantial bodily harm to another person. For a lesser degree of bodily harm, the maximum punishment is one year in prison.
