An Alberta Clipper storm is expected to move through central North Dakota on Friday, bringing colder temperatures, strong winds and blowing snow.
The National Weather Service released a statement this morning warning of blowing and drifting snow on Friday and Friday night throughout parts of western and central North Dakota.
Snowfall amounts are expected to be light and scattered. The storm's cold arctic air could bring temperatures of 10 to 20 below zero with wind chills of 30 below or colder.
A high of 23 degrees is expected today in Grand Forks, which could see some scattered flurries and winds of 8-11 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
Wednesday is also expected to be calm in Grand Forks, with a high near 22, partly sunny skies and similar wind speeds.

The high may be near 30 degrees on Thursday and Friday in Grand Forks, but windy conditions and possible snow will move into the area on Friday and Friday night.
The expected high in Grand Forks will be near zero on Saturday, with the Saturday night low nearing 20 below and Sunday's high nearing 5 below.
