After winning District 1B race, Kiel resigns from Crookston School Board

In anticipation of becoming the District 1B state representative in the Legislature in January, Deb Kiel has resigned from the Crookston School Board.

In anticipation of becoming the District 1B state representative in the Legislature in January, Deb Kiel has resigned from the Crookston School Board.

Her resignation takes effect at the end of November. The school board's personnel committee will meet Dec. 10 to review interested board candidates. The board will pick a replacement on Dec. 13.

Kiel, a Republican, defeated long-time incumbent Bernie Lieder in the Nov. 2 election.
