An accident early Saturday at Fourth Avenue South and Cottonwood Street in Grand Forks resulted in citations for one driver, the Grand Forks Police Department said in a news release.
Drew Lamere, Grand Forks, was driving a white Ford Explorer northbound at the intersection when it collided with a Silver Honda CRV driven by Doris Lebby, Grand Forks. (The police department news release did not list the ages of either driver, and a supervisor on duty at press time did not have access to the reports.) The vehicles came to rest on the north side of the intersection.
Lamere was cited for failure to yield at a controlled intersection and driving under the influence of alcohol. The accident, reported at 2:11 a.m. Saturday and remains under investigation.
