WARREN, MN (WDAZ-TV) - A lifelong dream is complete for one local veteran.
86-year-old Neil Anderson graduated from Warren-Alvarado-Oslo High School over the weekend.
As a member of the U.S. Army he was called to the Korean War just before graduation. When he got out, Anderson considered going back to school but the GI Bill didn't cover his expenses.
He went on to work for U.S. Steel for 34 years before retiring to farm.
"I was thinking about a GI Bill,” said Anderson. “I checked into it. I could get $100 a month to go to school. You can't live too much on $100 a month to pay room and board. So I got a job.”

Anderson is the youngest of 17 children and only one to graduate high school.
