JAMESTOWN, N.D. -- An 82-year-old Jamestown man held an intruder at gunpoint Wednesday morning before turning him over to the police, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Police said Justin T. Schlepp, 26, Devils Lake, was arrested after he allegedly broke into the home of the 82-year-old man and his 82-year-old wife in southwest Jamestown.
Police said the wife heard a loud noise around 4 a.m. She got up, but didn't hear more noise and went to the bathroom. While there, she saw someone open the bathroom door. Thinking it was her husband, she returned to bed, only to find her husband there sleeping, police said.
The wife woke him up, told him someone was in the house and called the police.
The husband took his handgun, found the intruder in the bathroom and pointed the gun at him, telling him to "stay where he was," police said.

Police said Schlepp complied and was arrested without incident. Schlepp had broken in through a south door.
Schlepp was arrested for criminal trespass, a Class C felony, and criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor. Schlepp remains in custody at the Stutsman County Corrections Center.
A Class C felony is punishable with a maximum of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. A Class A misdemeanor is punishable with a maximum of one year in prison and a $2,000 fine.
