4 teen girls hurt in Belgrade, Minn. crash

BELGRADE, Minn. -- Four teenaged girls were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday night in Belgrade.

Two of the individuals sustained serious injuries.

According to the State Patrol, at about 10 p.m. a 2001 Nissan Altima driven by Arianna Vidger, 18, of Fargo, was going north on U.S. Highway 71 and pulled out to turn left onto state Highway 55 and collided with a 2005 Pontiac driven by Alyssa Leedahl, 19, of Brooten in what was desribed as an off-set head-on collission.

There were two passengers in the Nissan Altima: Ellen Wuflestad, 18, of Moorhead and Libby Stoltenow, 15, of Moorhead.

Leedahl was alone in her vehicle.

All four were taken by ambulance to Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.

The state Patrol said Wuflestad and Leedahl had serious injuries. The other two teens were treated for their injuries and released.

Alcohol was not detected, according to the State Patrol.

The Belgrade Police Department assisted at the scene of the accident.
