Three people were injured, one seriously, in a one-car crash Tuesday afternoon in Polk County.
A 17-year-old boy from Oklahoma City was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks after the rollover on Minn. Highway 220 south of East Grand Forks just before 3 p.m., according to a report from Minnesota State Patrol.
The victim was a passenger in a 2002 Chevy Cavalier operated by a 17-year-old male from Choctaw, Okla. The vehicle, which was northbound on Highway 220, crashed after the driver apparently became distracted, according to the report. The vehicle left the road, hit an approach and rolled several times.
Another 17-year-old male, from Halstad, Minn., also was injured. All were taken to Altru Hospital.
The names of those involved in the crash were not released. The State Patrol is continuing its investigation.
