2010 ELECTION PREVIEW: Minnesota Senate District 2, House Districts 2A and 2B

Northwestern Minnesota residents in District 2 will head to the polls Tuesday to determine if their incumbent DFL members of the state House and Senate will get another term in the Legislature.

Northwestern Minnesota residents in District 2 will head to the polls Tuesday to determine if their incumbent DFL members of the state House and Senate will get another term in the Legislature.

Minnesota is divided into 67 legislative districts, with each district divided into two sections for the state House.

District 2 covers Becker, Beltrami, Clearwater, Mahnomen and Norman counties, as well as western Hubbard County. House District 2A includes Becker, Mahnomen and Norman counties, while District 2B covers Beltrami County and portions of Clearwater and Hubbard counties.

Senators and representatives will be elected to two-year terms this year because of a redistricting process that happens in conjunction with the decennial U.S. Census results.
