Get ready to "Rock the Ralph" next April.
UND Ralph Engelstad Arena and a local organizing committee announced initial event details today for the 2008 World Men's Curling Championship April 5-13 next year.
"Rock the Ralph" will be the games' theme. In curling, members of two four-person teams slide heavy oblate stones also known as rocks with a handle on top and flat bottom surface toward the center of a circle at either end of the rink ice.
Ticket packages will be discounted 15 percent if purchased before Oct. 1 this year, organizers said.
Also, the event will need 300 volunteers, and the committee is accepting volunteer applications.
