The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating two residential burglaries reported early today in Fosston, Minn., that deputies say involved the stealing of power tools, $2 bills and old coins.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating two residential burglaries reported early today in Fosston, Minn., that deputies say involved the stealing of power tools, $2 bills and old coins.

The sheriff's office said several power tools were taken from one residence, including an orange generator with a homemade wheel kit and an air compressor with an orange hose attached.

Taken from the second home were several $2 bills and a large amount of old or collectible coins, including silver dollars, half dollars and old quarters.

Regional businesses are urged to be on the lookout for customers purchasing items using $2 bills or large amounts of coins. Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 218-281-0431.
