FARGO-Two men face charges in Cass County District Court in the wake of a robbery at the Grand Inn in Fargo early Monday, June 13, during which a set of pricey headphones and a laptop computer were grabbed.
The incident began with a robbery call to the Grand Inn at 3402 14th Ave. S.
The hotel clerk told arriving officers that minutes before the officers got there two men had come into the hotel and approached him at the check-in desk.
He said one man reached over the desk and stole his Beats by Dre headphones and the other man grabbed his laptop computer before both men ran out the door toward a waiting gold-colored van.
The clerk said he chased the men, but as he approached the van a third man jumped out of the vehicle and threw him to the ground before kicking him in the head and holding him down long enough for the van to get some distance away.

The clerk told police the man holding him down then got up and ran to the van before it drove away.
Some time later, an officer spotted a van matching the description of the getaway vehicle and made a traffic stop.
A passenger in the van was wearing headphones matching the description of the stolen headphones and the stolen laptop was also found in the vehicle, according to court documents filed in the case.
The driver of the van, Abdifatah Ismail Said, 27, of Fargo, was charged with robbery, theft of property and giving false information to law enforcement.
A passenger in the van, Abdirisak Ahmed Ismail, who is either 29 or 30, is charged with theft. No address was available for Ismail.
Both Said and Ismail are accused of possessing stolen headphones and other items valued at more than $1,000.
