Grand Forks County sheriff's deputies are accusing two Minnesotans with drug trafficking following a traffic stop on Interstate 29, the sheriff's department said Monday.
Scott A. Kopecky, 50, Ham Lake, and Toniah J. Lorge, 34, North Branch, were stopped early Friday morning because of a burnt out headlight.
Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of paraphernalia to use meth. Kopecky was also charged with possession of marijuana. Lorge was also charged with driving under suspension and possession of marijuana while driving.
Delivering meth is the most serious of the charges with a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.
Kopecky and Lorge are scheduled for a preliminary hearing March 3 in state district court in Grand Forks.
