NEW PRAGUE, Minn. (AP) -- Authorities say one worker has died and another has been injured in a transmission line construction accident in New Prague.

CapX2020 project spokesman Randy Fordice says it appears a strap suspending the workers broke, causing them to fall to the bottom of a 50-foot hole dug for a power pole.

The CapX2020 project involves power lines being strung from Minnesota to South Dakota. Fordice tells KARE-TV the hole is dug to support a power pole that's 140 feet tall.

The Scott County sheriff's office identifies the man who died as 28-year-old Robert Fenstermacher of Oologah, Okla. Authorities say he died from head injuries.

The other worker, 37-year-old Jeremy Moye of Machesney, Ill., was treated and released.

Both work for Aldridge Electric in Libertyville, Ill., a subcontractor on the project.
