$1,000 reward offered for information in Minnesota dog abuse case

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- A $1,000 reward is being offered after a dog was shot six times with a pellet gun near Avon, Minn. According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Deputies office, a resident reported the abuse after finding the yellow lab under a tree.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Deputies office, a resident reported the abuse after finding the yellow lab under a tree. A deputy brought the dog to a veterinarian who found the dog had been shot four times in the face and two times in the hind quarters. Several of the shots penetrated the dog's muzzle, breaking its jaw. The dog is being treated for his injuries.

Sheriff's investigators are attempting to find the owner of the dog and identify of those responsible for the injuries. The reward is being offered for any information leading to the people responsible for the abuse.
