March was a warm and dry month across the region. The weather station for Fargo-Moorhead recorded an average daily high of 48.2 degrees Fahrenheit and an average daily low of 23.8 degrees for an average daily mean temperature of 36 degrees, which is 8.2 degrees warmer than average, ranking this March as the fifth warmest on record. March 8 (57 degrees), March 9 (65 degrees), and March 29 (77 degrees) all broke daily record highs.

Grand Forks recorded an average high of 48 degrees and an average low of 22.1 degrees for an average daily mean temperature of 35 degrees, which is 8.9 degrees warmer than average and the eighth warmest on record. Record highs were set March 8 (58 degrees), March 9 (62 degrees), and March 29 (74 degrees).

Fargo Moorhead precipitation in March was 0.28 inches melted and 2.8 inches of snow. Grand Forks received 0.21 inches melted and 0.1 inches snow. Both of these are among the driest 15% of March months.
