The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a winter weather advisory beginning at 1 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, and lasting until noon the same day.

One to four inches of snow accumulation is possible in eastern North Dakota, with higher amounts possible in some areas. The locations of those possible higher amounts remains unknown.

Travelers should plan on hazardous travel conditions with significantly reduced visibility caused by heavy snow. The advisory urges drivers to slow down and use caution while traveling.
