Several rounds of thunderstorms are on tap Wednesday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 14, according to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks.
All modes of severe weather, including large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes and flash flooding, will be possible at some point over the next few days. All of eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota will be at risk.
Weather conditions on Thursday are expected to be partly sunny and hot, with a high near 90 degrees and a heat index values as high as 96. Southeast winds of 13 to 16 mph will come from the southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
The National Weather Service forecasts a high of 76 degrees on Friday with cloudy skies.
