The Red River Valley saw anywhere from a half-inch to 1.5 inches of rain Monday and into Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain totals were highest in Thief River Falls, where it reached an 1.5 inches.

Drizzle and fog are expected to last much of Tuesday morning, though the weather service predicts there will be a break from the rainy conditions in the afternoon throughout most of the region. Isolated showers are possible near Lake of the Woods, however. The rain could return tonight with a possibility for isolated thunderstorms, the weather service said.

Low temperatures for Tuesday are expected to range from 45 to 57 degrees, with high temperatures at 60 to 65 degrees.

Storms are expected to hit again on Wednesday and continue until Friday morning. The weather service predicts there could be 1 to 2 inches of rain.
